My passion is travelling and photography. I'll add pictures of places I've been to, but after cancer I undrstand and feel how inportant it is to do all these things while you can.

So first I thought of doing something for women through travel, thats how I ended up with my portal: http://www.humanitour.com/, but I'll tell you more about it later. But then I knew I wanted to travel, aan create with my camera. I thought of changing jobs, of leaving my job, and I decided what I want to do is help other women. Since I am in the legal profession, I thought to write an article about empwering women economically. I went to the law library at the Universuty of London, and found the room about gender studies. It was a giant room filled with hundreds of books and articles. I decided another article was not going to make a real change. Although I ended up writing an article about battered women anyway.

I was frustrated, My time in Londom eas running short, and I did not know what to do. I knew I wanted to do something real, not just writing, but I couldn't find out what to do. One thing I was sure about, the key to empwering women is economically enabeling them to be independant, but how can I contribute anything.

As the saying goes: When there is a will there is a way.
Tomorrow I will tell you how I came up with the idea of Humanutour: Humane tourism, sustainable travel.

Good night for now,
MAG @ Humanitour.com

a jump to the future

Well, I wanted to write about London, but I want to jump back to today. I was in a lecture of Sri Sri Ravishan kar of Art of Living. Its a whole philosophy with a breathing method for meditation and relaxation. I used it in the past, and it helped me a lot. The thought of creating an internet portal for sustinable, responsible humane tourism, was because I beleived love brings love. So I built with the insurance money I got when i got cancer, this portal: http://www.humanitour.com/.
I put everything in it, love compassion, time, money and energy... and now I wish a lot of people will be empowered by it.
Anybody has ideas how to let as many people as possible know about it?
Maybe I'll try Art of Living. All my appointments... everything, as if it had known. After 4 days the surgery, folowwed by 2 month of radiation treatment. We had a planed trip to southern Italy we had to cancel. I felt weak, defeated and started wondering why it happened. I do beleive things happanes for a reason, I had to figure out what the reason was.
I had a sick leave of 6 month, and decided to do to London. My hasband and 13 years old sun (at the time) joined me. I decided I had to do something different.

In London I read a lot of "New Age" books, about health, cancer, changes. I knew I was doing something wrong. But What? should I leave my job? Go on a long trip? I started writing a diary in London. I told her i was really busy, but she insisted and said it us in a few weeks time anyway. We went, the memography was fine, followed by an ultrasound. The Doctor said he sees something which is probably nothing because i'm young, but he takes a niddle to check: "just to be on the safe side". After 2 weeks, the results came. Its nothing. I almost put it beyond me when the Doctor called: "Listen, i know the results are ok, but maybe I missed, I want to be sure, you better have a biopsy". I did, I waited a week and then "The" call. Its cncer. We can schedual an operation in a few days. Get everything orgenized at home, at work. We don't know how long it will be...
I'm a mother of three, at the time my oldsest daughter was 17, the second son was 15 and the youngest almost 13. I'm merried for the second time. I'm a federal Judge... so its a lot of geting orgenized to do....
Well.
